From 6 to 10 November 2023, by Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems organised the 5th SFERA-III Training for Industries course at Fraunhofer premises in Freiburg, Germany. The objective was to offer a course or engineers, researchers and representatives from European CSP industry and companies with theoretical and practical topics of Process heat application for CST technologies: System integration, design, performance assessment.
It welcomed 17 professionals from Spain, Switzerland, UK, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Morocco and France.
The course covered the following topics:
- Concentrating and non-concentrating collectors
- Storage systems
- Process integration
- Measurement and performance assessment
- Certification
- Techno-economic assessment
- Business models
- Networking
The training consisted of both theoretical and practical modules, and included facilities’ visits and practical test cases.
